Mr. Samuel “Sam” Jackson Odom, Jr., 83, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post # 164. He was owner/operator of Odom Trucking and enjoyed spending time with his family after his retirement. Left to cherish his memory is children, Nina Winter, Sam “Bo” (Tammy) Odom, III, Paula Jo (Stewart) Young and John (Jessica) Odom; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five sisters, Helen Strickland, Waudean Savoie, Wanda Gartman, Bonnie Lathan and Joyce (Ronnie) Osborne; brother, Doyle (Dot) Odom; friend for life, Marilyn Odom; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Wednesday, July, 30, 2014 at Living Word Church with Rev. Marc Hobbs officiating. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
