Sandra D. Hysell, born on December 17, 1965, departed this life on March 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Known for her vibrant personality, Sandra was a loving, caring, and outgoing individual who could light up any room with her great sense of humor. She was often described as a firecracker, possessing an energy that drew people to her.

Throughout her life, Sandra exhibited deep affection for her family, always placing them at the center of her world. She is survived by her children, Sherri Fithian, Jennifer Rhoads, Crystal New, Jamie New, Touria Anderson (Dwight), Melvin Hysell (Taylor Taylor), and Jackie Hysell (Daniel Levens) who were her pride and joy. Sandra's love extended to her grandchildren, who brought her boundless joy: Dwight Jr., Layla Belle, Nevaeh, Jewel, Kaiden, Faith Elizabeth, Noah James, Ethan Michael, Aviyanna Hope, and Lucas. She was also a devoted sister to Nita Faye Nall (Lewis) and Charles Maddox (Angie), and she will be missed by her sister-in-law, Debbie Johnston, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Sandra's passions included engaging with others on social media platforms like Facebook, indulging in shopping, and finding peace in praising and worshiping music. Her love for animals and her culinary skills were well-known among those who had the pleasure of tasting her cooking. Sandra embraced every moment of life, always ready to connect and share a laugh with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Peter Johnston, as well as her brothers, Ron Johnston and Michael Johnston. Their memories will always be intertwined with Sandra's enduring spirit.

In honoring her memory, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the Union Church of Indian Springs, located at 5402 Lott Road, Eight Mile, AL 36613, on March 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location with  Bro. Lewis Nall officiating. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Lambert Grove Cemetery.

Sandra D. Hysell's legacy will continue through the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain alive in the laughter and love she shared with her family and friends.
