Sharon Diane Newburn

Sharon Diane Hayes Newburn, age 62, a native of Waynesboro, MS and resident of Citronelle, AL, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at her residence. She attended Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren and Faith Tabernacle. She was the Senior Citizen Director for the City of Citronelle. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Ed Newburn of Citronelle; Her children, Virginia Gross, Bill Newburn, Lisa Newburn and Sharon Thompson, all of Citronelle, AL; Three Brothers, Jerry Hayes of Lucedale, MS, Leon Hayes of Saraland, AL, and Roger Hayes of Four Points, AL; One Sister, Linda Bump of Ozark, AL; Four Grandchildren, Adam Turner of Citronelle, Lanetta Lester of Leakeville, Matthew Newburn and Morgen Newburn, both of Citronelle; And other relatives and friends. A wake will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at Freeman Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2010 with Bro. Herman Henderson and Bro. Tommy Henderson officiating. Interment will be at Brethren Cemetery in Citronelle, AL. Honorary pallbearers will be the Citronelle Senior Center and the Citronelle Police Department. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Lawrence Hayes, Jason Hayes, Josh Hayes, Greg Henderson, Tony Bryan and Stephen Byrd.
