Shirley Diane Roberts

Shirley Diane Roberts, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023.  She was 73 years old.  Diane, as she was affectionately known, loved life and fought for it to the very end.  She was an avid sports fan, and her favorite team was Alabama Crimson Tide. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and learning about history.  She also liked to collect porcelain dolls and had a magnificent collection.  She had a beautiful mind and never forgot anything!  She loved Disney World and enjoyed spending time there with her family. Diane was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Diane’s memory include her sister, Linda Roberts; three heart sisters, Patricia Simison, Vickie Davidson, and Lue Ann Henderson; and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9am until the 10am funeral service Friday, April 14, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Neely, Mississippi.  Pallbearers include Josh Wells, Johnny Simison, Chris Simison, Robbie Smith, Hayden Fulton, and Chad Byrd.

Donations may be made in Diane's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
