Susie Lavisha Holton

Susie Lavisha Holton, a resident of Bayou La Batre, passed away September 08, 2021. She was 56 years old. Susie enjoyed watching baseball and football, and was an avid Auburn fan. She was always happy and loving spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews and riding with her mama. Susie was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Caroline Morris; brother, Alvin Morris; and loving friends, Lisa Huckabee, Stacy Reed, and Brenda Reed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Alicia Holton; mom, Lelia Strahan; sisters, Janie Willis, Mitzy Byrd, and Sally Flores-Cruz; seven nephews, Ethan Byrd, Brandon Byrd, Leland Byrd, Willie Reed, Jr., Wilton Reed, Jace Willis, and Christopher Morris; two nieces, Morgan Byrd and Phyllis Hopkins; aunts, Martha Ann Sullivan and Voncille Herlong; uncle, William Morris (Selether); devoted friends, Cathy Reed, Josie Byrd, and Marcie Reed; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Susie from 6pm until 9pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Magnolia Holiness Church. The funeral service will be 3pm Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Magnolia Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Waite officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
