Sylean Byrd, a resident of Creola, Alabama, passed away Saturday, August 04, 2018, at Providence Hospital. She was 77 years old. Sylean was born November 21, 1940, to Van and Vesta Weaver. Over the years, Sylean loved the outdoors. She loved her garden, loved to fish, and most of all, she loved the Lord. Playing the guitar and singing gospel music was one of her greatest passions. She was a faithful member of The Gospel of Jesus Ministries and one of the longest members of the church. Her favorite Bible verse was James 5:16, “Prayers of the Righteous: The Effectual Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Man Availeth Much.” She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sylean was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Vesta Weaver; children, Vesta Byrd and Joseph Weaver; brothers, Van, Von, and Zon; and sisters, Eulean, Perlean, and Shirley. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tyler Byrd; children, Stoney Byrd (Tracie), Anna White (Robert), and Ester Snow (Don); grandchildren, Jennifer Orso (Brent), Joseph Byrd, Michael Snow, Macy Snow, Jason Byrd, Brandy White, Robert White Jr., and Stoney Jr.; great grandchildren, Zoriana and Benjamin; brother, Zan Weaver; sister, Loretta Rivers; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Wednesday, August 08, 2018, at Freedom Apostolic Church, 12584 Highway 43, Axis, Alabama 36505.
