Ted Lamar Roberts, Born August 1, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama, passed away in the early morning of July 27, 2024. Early mornings were his favorite time of day as a young boy. As a young boy growing up in the Cedar Creek community, he spent many hours exploring the outdoors. The three greatest loves of his life were Jesus, his family, and playing pranks on family and friends. He spent many summers on his beloved Dog River camping with the Roberts and Webb families. After his retirement, he found pleasure in finding his roots. He traveled all over South Georgia and Alabama locating birthplaces and final resting places of ancestors.
Ted will be forever loved and missed by his family, wife, Nora Louise Roberts; sons, Ted Lee Roberts (Stephanie) and Jason Lane Roberts(Kelly); daughter, Leslie Jarvis (Robert); grandchildren, Taylor, Carson, Megan, Julieonna, Cameron, Blake, Abby, Kourtney, Brayden, Rachel, Rebeka, Lane, Kaydence, Mellaney, Jaxston, and Ansley; great grandchildren, Kanon, Helena, Halle, Blayne, Jaxon, Easton, Carter Lee, and Rylee; brother, Danny Roberts (Janice); sister, Sue Tanner; sister-in-law, Cindy Roberts; aunt, Clara Hebert “Tim Tim”; nieces, nephews, and cousins; special life-long friends, Warren and Sharron Webb and David and Joan Jones; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Roberts; mother, Helen Roberts; grandparents, George and Lula Roberts and Dewey and Stella Webb; brother, Bruce Roberts; sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Ed Goldman; and granddaughter, Jayden Roberts.
Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Lott Cemetery on Sand Ridge Road with Bro. Tommy Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends at Gulfcrest Baptist Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mrs. Nora Roberts for burial expenses.
