Terri Sue Barnett Jarrell

August 18, 1964 — March 23, 2025

Mount Vernon, Alabama

Terri Sue Barnett Jarrell, affectionately known as Suki, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 18, 1964, Suki lived a life rich in joy, creativity, and adventure, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew her.

Suki's vibrant personality was marked by her joyful, eccentric nature and her passion for life. She was fun and outgoing, always seeking to make connections with those around her. A true embodiment of love and kindness, she dedicated herself to nurturing friendships, particularly within her beloved crafting community. Her creativity shone through in her hobbies and interests, especially her deep appreciation for all things vintage. Suki found great joy in taking trips to the mountains with her friends and enjoyed every adventurous moment spent with her cherished grandchildren.

As a devoted wife, Suki was married to her husband, Mike Jarrell, for 40 wonderful years. Together, they fostered a warm and loving family environment. Suki was the proud mother of Lacy Richardson (Walt), Hannah Lomax (Joe), and Billy Jarrell. Her grandchildren—Chuck, Brooklyn, Elliot, Anne Michael, Mary Helen, and Emerein—were her greatest joys, and she delighted in creating lasting memories with each of them.

Suki's sister, Mary Ann Barnett, and numerous other relatives and friends will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts. Her proudest accomplishments were rooted in her commitment to her family and the deep bonds she cultivated within her crafting community.

Suki was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leigh Barnett; her brother, Butchie Barnett; and her friend, Chris Walker. The love she shared and the lives she touched will forever be remembered, making her legacy one of warmth, creativity, and adventurous spirit. Her departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply, but her memory will live on in the joyous stories and laughter shared among family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 10:15 AM until the 11:00 AM Celebration of Life at Calvert Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Tim Sullivan officiating.
