Thayer Turner

Thayer Turner, age 84, a native of Whistler and resident of Chunchula, AL. died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at a local hospital. He Served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a member of Chunchula Baptist Church, Shriners, Masons, Alabama Farmers Federation, Alabama Treasure Forests, Alabama Cattleman's Assn, Mobile County Landowner's Assn, National Rifle Assn and Local 112 Boilermaker Union. He is survived by his wife Carolyn G. Turner; Two Sons, David W. (Dianne) Turner- Marshall, TX and Mark T. (Tina) Turner-Citronelle; One Brother, Duane Turner-Turnerville; Three Sisters, Juaree Bohanon-Georgetown, Inez Fulmer-Mobile, and Carolyn Teresa-San Ramon, CA; Three Grandsons, David W. Turner II, Dalton T. Turner, and J.C. (Andrea) Helveston; Three Granddaughters, Elisabeth (Daniel) Deel, Patricia Turner, and Brittany (Jeremy) Giles; Great Grandsons, Colton Giles and Jayden Helveston. A wake will be from 5 PM - 8 PM Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Chunchula Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 10 AM Monday, March 1, 2010 at the church. Interment will be at Turnerville Cemetery.
