Thomas “Jay” Couch was born on October 13, 1962 to Joseph Eugene Couch and Joyce Todd Couch in Mobile County, Alabama. He passed away at his home in Grand Bay, Alabama on September 30, 2015. He was 52 years young. Jay worked as a Master Mechanic for years and was always known to help others with his knowledge of automobiles and gifted hands. He enjoyed motorcycles, racing, rock and roll, fishing, and hunting, but his passion was his family. He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving father, Joseph Couch; his beloved aunts, Jo Harvey and Virginia Chadwell; his second wife, Diana Couch; and his companions, Carol King and Kathy Goodman. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Todd; his brother, Joel Couch; his dear step-mother, Sandra Couch; his step-brothers, Kenny and Scott Oldfield; his boys, whom he loved and felt pride in, Ronnie Jay (Tiffany) Couch and Thomas Eugene (Lysandra) Couch; his grandbabies, whom he loved and delighted in, Corey Gavin, Madison Alane-Marie, Olivia Jaye Larette, Julieanna Mazielynn, MarcieMaleigh Fayeanne and Cailee Fallon. Jay was called “Daddy” by his children and “Paw Paw Jahbo” by his grandchildren. He was loved beyond words and will be sorrowfully missed. It is through this we know that he lived a full life. The wake will be from 5-8pm Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Living Word Church in Citronelle, Alabama. The funeral service will be 10am Monday, October 5, 2015 with Rev. Marcus Hobbs officiating.
