Thomas Charles Richerson, Jr., known affectionately as Chuck to his loved ones, passed away on May 31, 2024 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1957.
In his lifetime, Chuck embarked on diverse professional paths that shaped his adventurous spirit. Initially, he served as a Merchant Marine, traversing the vast oceans and exploring numerous countries for over 15 years. Subsequently, he transitioned into the role of an industrial electrician, dedicating over two decades to this skilled profession.
Chuck's cheerful personality and unwavering love for his family and friends are cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Described as smart, witty, a jokester, and selfless, he left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.
Outside of his work life, Chuck found solace and joy in various hobbies and interests. He had a talent for music and could often be found playing the guitar and singing with his nieces and nephews. His adventurous side shone through as he indulged in activities such as riding motorcycles, sports cars, and traveling to new destinations.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, TC Richerson, Sr. and Hazel Evans; nephew, Lucas Richerson; niece, Kely Douglas; grandparents, Izona and Chandler Weaver; and grandmother, Lydia Reed.
He is survived by a loving family including his siblings, Peggy Hanchett (Paul), Cynthia Cain, Vincent Richerson, Kymberly Trest (Sean), and Trisha Kiper (Jimmy); along with nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, as well as a multitude of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Bethel Lighthouse of Prayer Church with Bro. Dwight Weaver officiating.
As we mourn the loss of Chuck from this world, we also celebrate the legacy of joy, humor, and kindness that he leaves behind. May his spirit of adventure live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
