Tom Ranford Davis, a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020. He was 83 years old. Tom was a devoted father and grandfather to his family. He loved going to church and drinking coffee with his family. His favorite saying was “Up Tight and Just Gone.” Tom was preceded in death by his children, Pelly Davis and Tom Davis Jr.; parents, Henry and Rebecca Davis; and siblings, Emma, Henry, George, James, Print, Frank, Martha, Gertrude, and Millard. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Penny Davis; children, Dorothy Evans (Mike), Bud Davis (Arlene), Leonard Davis (Willie Mae), Kenneth Davis (Nadine), and Debra Sullivan (Tommy); daughter in law, Fritz Davis; twenty five grandchildren; sixty six great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 2pm funeral service Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Lighthouse of Praise Holiness Church with Rev. Kenneth Davis officiating.
