Tom Wilson Whearley

Tom Wilson Whearley, a native of Wilcox County and a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 02, 2019. He was 81 years old. Tom was born to Tom and Alice Whearley on November 08, 1937. He worked as a Yard Master for the railroad for over 50 years. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Whearley; mother, Alice Luker; and father Tom Whearley. Those left to cherish his memory include children, Tommie Sue Johnson (Randy Lee Johnson), Wayne Lee (Pam), Ronnie Pierce (Brenda), Teresa Miller, Benny John Watson (Irene), Victor McCardle; many grandchildren and great grandchildren that loved him; brother, David Luker (Vaughan); sister, Sue Gibson; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Tuesday, August 06, 2019, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating.
