Tracy Ilean Sheffield

Tracy Ilean Rutland Sheffield, age 49, a native and resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama died suddenly on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Tracy was an employee of Phoenix Services in Calvert, Alabama. Tracy loved to cook, especially for others and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Clay Sheffield; stepson, Sonny Sheffield; grandparents, Duke and Doris Simison, Lois Robinson and Joe Kellett. Left to cherish her memory is her parents, Jimmy and Alice Rutland; sons, Chad Douglas Sheffield and Brandon Louis Sheffield; stepson, Anthony “Tony” (Rhonda) Sheffield; three brothers, Gerry Anthony “Tony” (Capri) Rutland, Jimmy Ray (Beverly) Rutland and Joseph “Joe” Richmond Rutland; ex-husband, Rocky Dwayne Sheffield; six grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The wake will be from 6-9pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church with Rev. Carey Carlberg, Rev. Stan Clayton, Chaplain Alan Singleton and Rev. Vint Norris officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery.
