Viola P. Campbell, 90, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of Never Ending Faith Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, praising His Name in all aspects of her life. She was a loving and praying mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. One of her favorite things was to listen to her granddaughters sing and she always sang to the children, “Doe Dee Doe”. She was a Sunday School teacher and community leader and active in the MOWA Choctaw Tribe as a member of the Tribal Council, Pow Wow Committee, and tribal mother several times. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Campbell, her children, Willard Campbell, Lawrence "Boo Boo" Sullivan, and Carol Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Gertrude Reed, Barbara Johnston (Van), Elizabeth Sullivan (Jimmy), Billie Jean Sullivan (Mack), and Clint Campbell (Florence); 28 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6-10pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 3pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Sullivan, Rev. Bruce Shaw, Rev. Jerry Waite and Rev. Rickey Turner officiating. Burial will be in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Online register available at www.freemancitronelle.com.
