Mrs. Wanda Jean “Jeannie” Mims, 62, a native and resident of Sims Chapel, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014. She was a homemaker and member Rivers Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Luther & Lottie Rivers; sisters, Virgie Mae Rivers and Betty Parnell; husband, Paul Calvin Mims and daughter, Chelle Guy. Left to cherish her memory is grandchildren, LeRogers Smith and Jessica Smith; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Emily and E.J.; three sisters, Carolyn (Charles) Rivers, Joyce (Sparkie) Patterson and Pauline (Chris) Pennartz; two brothers, Oscar Cleveland Rivers and Luther Steward Rivers, Jr.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Rivers Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Rivers and Rev. Nick Williams officiating.
