Wanda Threadgill Snow, affectionately known as Granny, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 27, 1961, and lived a life full of joy, love, and cherished moments.
Wanda had a genuine passion for Alabama football and also enjoyed spending quality time with her family. One of her simple pleasures was sitting outside with a cup of coffee and conversations she had with her friends over the phone.
One of Wanda's proudest accomplishments in life was her role as a mother and grandmother. She poured love and devotion into raising her children, Stacey Adams (Chayne), Terry McPherson, Brandy Everett (Rayfard), Bridget Snow, and Herbie Snow (Dana). Her unconditional love extended to her grandchildren, Mya, Ariana, Jaydon, Morgan, Layla, Jayden, Beckham, Connor, and Asher. She held them close to her heart and rejoiced in their achievements and milestones. In addition to immediate family members, she is also survived by her brother, Mark Threadgill (Tammy), as well as other beloved relatives and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Christine Threadgill; her sister Sheila Duerksen; her brother Tony Threadgill; and her companion Killer. Although they are no longer with us physically, their memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them.
To honor the life of Wanda Threadgill Snow, a visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on January 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the 1:00 PM funeral service with Rev. Teddy Turrentine officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Vernon Community Cemetery.
Wanda's departure leaves an undeniable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. However, it is important for all who mourn her loss to remember the joy she brought into their lives. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend.
