Wayne Franklin Clayton

Wayne Franklin Clayton, a resident of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. He was 82 years old. Mr. Wayne never met a stranger whether selling produce or firewood, or just going to the corner store to get ice cream. Those left to cherish his memory include Diane (Charlie) Pierce, Renea (Mitchell) Holifield, Rebecca (Bobcat) Gibson, Ashley (Wayne) Saranthus, Kim (Anthony) Sprague, seventeen grandchildren and thirty greatgrandchildren, an aunt, Luverne, and many cousins. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Caleb Howell officiating. Pallbearers include Wayne Saranthus, Anthony Sprague, Tyler Saranthus, Judson Trussell, Jay Stokley, and Joey Stokley.
