Wilburn E. “Will” Taylor, 84, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1933 to Frank and Bertha Pettis Taylor in Clarke County, Alabama. Mr. Taylor served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. Will worked at International Paper as a pipefitter and in maintenance. Later in life, Will became self-employed and operated heavy equipment. He was a member of Lockler Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also was a member of the Goldwingers and loved motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Taylor. Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife of 48 years, Nora E. Taylor; daughter, Pamela Gay Busby and her children, Cameron Dewayne Taylor, Devin Busby, Corey Franklin Rivers, Ryan Stewart Rivers and grandchildren, Bella, Ava, Noah and Paisleigh; daughter, Kim Taylor Lipani (Don C.) and her children, Lauren Taylor Lipani, Stephen Michael Lipani and Don Charles Lipani, II.; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 11am on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Community Cemetery.
