William John Zehner

William John Zehner, 53, a native of Leakesville, MS and a resident of Citronelle, AL passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at his residence. Johnny retired from the United States Navy and Skelton’s Fire Equipment. He was a member of Citronelle Lodge #637 F&AM, an avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football, loved hunting and spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 35 years, Rita Averett Zehner; daughter, Dena Marie Zehner; mother-in-law, Edna Averett; parents, Albert & Elizabeth Zehner; brother, Michael “Mugsy” Zehner; sister, Ellen (Frank) Lindsey; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home from 6pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held 11am, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Bates officiating.
