Willie Bass

Willie Bass, 82, affectionately known as Gover Lee, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his daughter’s residence surrounded by his family. He was a self-employed carpenter and electrician and retired around 2007. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Gover Lee loved watching The Price Is Right and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Georgia Ann Bass and his daughter, Ella Bass Reed. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Don Bass (Earline), Willie Mae Buttram (Troy), Deanna Reed (Vance) and Allison Frazier (Otis); 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10am until 11am at St. Theresa Catholic Church with the Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11am with Rev. John Coghlan, celebrant.
