Wilton K. Bailey, 78, a native of Wagarville, Alabama and resident of Sims Chapel, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He retired from Olin Corp. with over 40 years of service and was an active member of Sims Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Bailey was a member of St. Stephens Lodge # 81 and Abba Temple Shriners. He enjoyed coon hunting and sports, especially softball whether he was coaching or playing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, William Bailey and mother, Mamie Lee McCormick; sister, Jimmie McCulley; brother, William “Billy” Bailey; and his first wife, Emma Jean Bailey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Gloria Bailey; daughters, Tonya Faith, Dana Dickey (Mike) and Mimi Vice (Boyd); sons, Walt Phillips (Pam) and Troy Phillips (Robin); 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 9am until the 12pm funeral service on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Sims Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Otis Lister and Rev. Steve Foster officiating.
